I'm setting up a new 180 gallon with a 60 gallon sump/refugium. I have kept all of these fish at one point, but does anyone have any suggestions on this stocking list? Does this seem like a reasonable list for a 180? Also, would a pair of Mandarins be sustainable in a 180 with a bare bottom? I kept a pair in a 120 for 2 years before tearing that tank down. That setup had sand though.

Scopas or Yellow Tang
Veliferum Sailfin Tang
Blue Tang
Orange Shoulder Tang
Foxface
Clownfish pair
Mandarin pair

Possibly:
Bluethroat Trigger pair
Banggai Cardinal group

Honestly think you can keep more fish then this, in our main display its a little shy of 200 and we keep nearly 22 fish in there. The mandarins would be okay in a bare bottom, I wouldn't recommend the triggers.

Have you had issues with Bluethroats? I kept a pair in my 120 for a little over two years, and they were model citizens. I know it can vary from fish to fish though.

It really depends on the specimen, by the way. Our new online fish store is opening soon, we have a new system in place to test fish aggression (ex: seeing if toby puffers are fin nippers by putting them in a tank with more slow swimming fish, I can definitely get a pair of blue throat triggers in and test them for you along with any other fish on your stocklist, we can even put them with some of the other fish your planning on keeping in your qt system.
