So after one year of my JBJ 20gal, the fever of a reef system has kicked into overdrive so I took the plunge and went with the Aqua Forest Oceanguard 435 85gal Aquarium and 33gal AF Sump with a total volume of 115 gal.

08. 2x AI Nero 3's
09. Durtto 2 ATO
10. Media filters - phosphate minus and carbon
11. Live Rock 30-40 lbs (currently in large container with pump, used recycled water from my water changes from my 20gal to get it started, added copepods and phytoplankton to container in a dark room)
12. two bottles of copepods
Aquarium arrived on May 2, 2023. The exciting moments of the bill began. By May 10, 2023. The aquarium had fully cycled. Yep that’s right one full week. The use of Aquaforest as products and my local Saltwater Paradise store. These are the steps that we took to ensure a quick and easy cycle process..
A. because I trust my saltwater store I used 60% of water from their system in their current aquariums, and then 40% of fresh saltwater.
B. As we know all tanks, go to recycling system, the tank itself came with a kit that aqua force provides that has Francis media that contains live bacteria addition to a bottle of turbo start.
C. All water parameters are perfect and the system was sustainable for live stock just two days later after installation.
You’ll see the images about 2 1/2 weeks later a bacteria bloom developed part of which was a mistake on my end as I was making adjustments to the system. I forgot to turn off the skimmer and it dumped all that bad waste back into the sump that was the culprit to the bacteria bloom. So I then began the installation of the UV filter, which cleared that up within three days. However, my boo Thang suffered a little bit of stress, therefore resulting in a little bit of it that was quickly cleared up within a day or two after the installation of the UV sterilizer.
