Well I just sold 2 tanks and put in a new living room/dining room/kitchen floor and new paint all around which will be completed this weekend. So I bought a new SC Aquarium Rimless 90 gallon cube 36”x24”x24” an have been gathering equipment the passed few weeks for the build. So far I have:

trigger Ruby 36 sump (which I bought for our 75 gallon tank but wouldn’t fit in stand)
AquaMaxx ConeS Q-2 Protein Skimmer
2-AI Nero 5 wavemaker pumps
2-AI Hydra 32HD with mounting arms
Ehiem jagger 250 watt heater
Ink Bird heater controller

things I have left to buy are return pump thinking jebao 6500 dcp have a 4000 on my 75 mixed reef and have been great so far but will take any suggestion, maybe a reactor? And do I get a screen top in case of jumpers ?
Also going to make a diy stand to be able to fit the Ruby 36 sump just debating on how tall to build it?
This build is going to take a few weeks but I will post picks as I go and could use any advise on my second build....yep I have a reef problem an my GF has got it too here is a picture of the tank still in garage on pallet.

Here is the frame of the stand I’m working on. I like to take a 1/4 of an inch off my 2x4s. Makes it easier getting rid of the rounded edges. If you’ve never made one, it’s easier than you think.

I do have to ask should I leave the back of the stand open or I close it? On the fence with closing it off all the other stands I have own were open.

Just finally took out the plumbing that came with my tank. Was nice to find 3 holes for 1” pvc bulkheads:) but was setup for for Durso pipe. Think I’m going to set it up as a Herbie can’t stand the thought of hanging a pipe over the back to set up a Bean. Any thoughts?

A little update painted top and inside of stand, put tank in place, and trigger Ruby 36 sump that I already had in mothballs installed and plumbing done. Plumbing was tricky because of tight space above sump, hind site would have built the stand 6” taller but made it work. Herbie setup with emergency plumbed into the second stage. Let me know what yah all think. 24hrs till water! Ohhh and yes stand will be wrapped the red oak in the next few weeks.

Let the cycle begin! It never ends build a great aquascape glue it go to put it in tank and blam! the whole thing falls apart. So this was not what I had built and is not the finish scape at least on the left side of tank but the gf likes it. Let me know what ya all think. I still have about 40lb of rock to add once the lfs opens back up.

I'm following your build, I'm waiting on my SCA 80 gallon currently. As for your aquascape, could you place that bridge piece a little higher your fish to swim through? It also might provide a higher coral placement option under your lights. Just a thought.

Yeah I know what you mean, I ordered my tank and upgraded stand mid-Jan, there was a delay due to the stand, but now SCA's warehouse has been closed since mid-March, I'm hoping to receive my tank Mid May by the sounds of it. Frustrating because I'm stuck at home and it would be perfect time to geek out on setting it up.
