New 90 gallon build!

I hear yah received mine first week in March. Had to wait until I replaced the carpet with hardwood and painted the walls. You well love your tank one thing I didn’t like was mine didn’t come with a overflow cover. So I emailed steve and he made one for $30 bucks but when I got it didn’t even come close to fitting but the tank is very well made for the price can’t beat it! Made my overflow into a Herbie came with a Durso stand pipe. Oh be careful with the lock line off of the tee return line broke one side of the acrylic ended up using a dremel tool an cutting out the holes into slots so you can take the return pipe out without taking the lock line apart.

Here is a picture of one side of the slots they were just a hole but the tee will not line up and you will break the fin off you can see where it broke on The other side

Looking great so far! I definitely agree on a bridge across the top. I'm a big fan of bridges and holes for the fish to swim through. Great suggestion on getting an ATO for your 90. I also have a 90 and definitely lose at least a gallon per day from evaporation. I used to manually top of my original 46-gallon reef tank every day, but that got old fast and would drive me crazy with the 90! If you look at my tank build thread, post #4 has a picture of my custom acrylic ATO reservoir. I can go about 10 days or so without refilling it. I'm pretty sure I ordered it from Advanced Acrylics when I set up the 90, which was about 6 years ago. Keep the pictures coming!

Update. My lfs gave me a new piece of live rock from her DT because I bought a lot from her in the last month. Forgot what type it is, but she said you can’t buy it anymore, any idea what it’s name is? Added cuc and 2 clowns gf name white one bullet and the other fin.

Looks great, I’m guessing it’s Tonga Branch rock. That’s going to be awesome looking once you start placing corals across the bridge. Nice progress, I’m still waiting on my tank and stand. Maybe it will ship out this week.

What do you get when yah take cheap wood boards.........a propane torch..........and a wire brush?..........a stand wrap like no other! Put wire pipe brush on a cordless drill or your arm will be sore:-) there was no sanding or stain done to the wood at all.

Have not updated this in a long time so here we go. My 75 gal tank crashed do to a faulty heater that failed on so when the inkbird controller failed on it was the perfect storm in which took my tank to 97F and killed all but 4 corals but didn’t hurt the fish. So after that the little woman told me the 90gallon was going to be the reef tank and the 75gal will be a fwlr tank an gave me the ok to by the Neptune apex! So here are some new pics sorry for the lighting more to come in daylight! Made the control board to match the tank wrap.
