Picked up this new coral from AquaSD several weeks ago. I really like it. Right now it has more of pinkish Hue with blueish background with the nice green tips. Pretty cool. I put it by another green monti that I got from WWC about a year ago. I sold the mother colony and kept this frag since it grows quickly. I keep these in the sand so they don't overtake the rock work.

Looks like a forest fire digitata. Beautiful piece!

Thanks. Yeah its a digitata, but I don't remember the name they had on it. I will see if I can dig it up. I wanted the superman digi, but this is good as I could find for now.

I think it's a maricultured piece?

I totally agree. I finally found the name. They called it "Bubble Gum Digi". They have several pieces. They only had one piece of superman digi and I lost out on that one. Snooze you loose.

Well I mounted this guy long time ago and it took off. I was looking in the aquarium last night and noticed the lights going out and thought it looked pretty cool. Its red looking
with most the whites our like now....but with more whites like my original post its more orange like. Really cool coral.

Does this piece like less light? I have this piece midway up and I see none of the green base like yours. I've had it about a month.

I had it in the sand and now mid way up and it has green in both places. Was putting some kalk paste on some mushrooms and got a little bit on the colony today. Hopefully it makes it.
Now if you are not seeing green, you probably just have the superman colony. It doesn't have the green.

I checked my order. It's a FHC blazed up digi. Their colony has some green.

OH ok. Well I cant explain why you don't have green tips. Does their mother colony show green? You may want to check with them to see if they have multiple types and maybe you got the wrong one -or- maybe it needs some certain type of lighting. Mine works well from sandbed to mid. Left it at mid level.
