ok so i got a new green carpet nem for the fish only tank and it is in a 10 gal tank for the time being. it does not really want to eat, and im not sure about him. i have tried silver sides, mysis, and other store bought shrimp. any suggestions would be great.

Did you get it from an LFS or a individual? Ask them if it was eating and how long they had it. If you got it from and LFS and they received it say Thur or Fri, then you took it home Sat. That is a lot of stress. From the bag, to a tank, to a different tank, in three days....

an individual, said it was fed the day before i picked it up. and she said she fed it silver sides

well it is staying in the spot i first put it in. this tank is not the final place for it. i am building a 75 gal for it and other fish only....no coral. it should be done in the next week or so.

How is the water? Temp, Salinity, Ect. Ect.

well i wouldnt move it to the fish only til its cycled for awhile. give it time to eat, is it wide open? the mouth look ok? careful putting all that food in a 10 gallon, take out what's not eaten cause that will shoot your nitrates thru the roof in a big hurry!

oh ya if he didnt eat it it does not stay in the tank and yes the tank will cycle for a while...point of sale a week, but i have the rock, and sand that was cycled for about 2 years going into the tank. the mouth is opening and it looks like a nem mouth. it will grab the food and just let it go...like it is not hungry.
