new Angelfish chasing clownfish

Just recently got a flame back angelfish it has been 3 days in and I see the angel chasing my 5-year-old clown fish. Is this normal? There about the same size. I thought clowns were supposed to chase the newcomer.

Payback is a *****... You could try hanging one of those cheap $1 mirrors on the side of the tank. It occasionally works to keep one (or both) fish distracted.

Dwarf Angels can be jerks. So can clowns. It will work itself out hopefully.

Can depend on the individual fish.

Mirror can distract fish - they see themselves and instead fight their reflection.

My angelfish is part of my Death Dealer Squad... I no longer can add any new fish without first using acclimation box on magnets, moving to ALL territories in my tank - up down, left right middle, etc... and even then recently I had a fish go after another fish unexpectedly...

I use The Shu by Octo as my favorite acclimation box, but I've got multiple until I found that one with magnets and lid.
