Hi all so I got this emperor angel yesterday online. It's from one of the sites that does quarantine their fish. But pretty much since I put him in my 125 reef I can't help but notice he's kind of blotchy looking. Could this just be from stress? He did eat last night.

Thanks,

Emperor angels will turn blotchy due to stress, but also do that if they have flukes or ich.

Do you know the quarantine protocol that was used on this fish?

Copper and prazipro
Done properly, that should reduce the chance of ich or flukes.

I would just give it another day to see if this is just stress. If the fish stops eating, it becomes a more serious issue.

If you can post a video, I might be able to see some other clues…..
