I just transitioned to the new app for iOS and it was pretty smooth. It was a bummer that I had to input my schedule in all over again but other than that was smooth. However, since transitioning, the moonlight segment is intermittent. Some nights it doesn't even come one and I don't have the automatic moon phase setting on so there's no reason it shouldn't come on. Anyone else having this issue?

Hey there!

The auto moonlight function pulls real time weather data- so the moonrise and moonset varies every night, just as it does in nature. The moonlights won't activate until the moon has risen above the horizon at your tanks location. If you want the moonlights to run all night, the manual mode will turn them on each night after lights out.

I think I mentioned in my post that I don’t have the light set on auto. I have my schedule set to manual. They still don’t come on. I have them set at 2%.

Does this new app work with the Photon V2+? If so how do we connect it to the new app as there is no reset button on the side.

NVM figured it out. Had to remove the cover where WiFi adapter and light are. Then close to the back-right is the reset button on the underside. It took two tries but is now setup with my Photon 48 V2 Plus.

Finally bit the bullet and transferred to the new app. I too found you did need to enter the full schedules again, transfer did not actually mean anything was transferred and all had to be manually entered again.

Okay, have a weird one with this new app also around moon lights... since I updated to the new app I have used the manual moonlight setting, but only half of my Photon V2 48" lights up. For normal lighting, all LEDs are working fine, so the blue moon light issue shouldn't be an LED or driver issue if they work otherwise right?

Why would the moon lights only light up the (right side) of my tank? I did not have this issue with the older Nexus app.

I did submit to Reef Breeders support, but have not heard back yet. Thought I would ask the forum too in case anyone ran into this.
