They are doing great after being shipped all the way from socal and I'm in Georgia. Im looking to get a pair of cool clowns to go in there. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I had one and it ate my Red Sea Sailfin Tang, the Carpet was gone the next day....

Nice look carpets for sure. Amazing color. I don't know if clowns will host them either. I have also heard of them eating fish so that could be a concern with clowns.

Yea I think they can host them. Its a gig.

They can definitely host these. Get 2 pairs, blacker ice and grade a picassos. each will have their own nem and should be ok. How big is your tank?

It is a 100 gallons with 40 gallon sump. I know they will get huge and outgrow it eventually.

The key is to add a natural symbiant. Most hosting issues arise when mixing unnatural combos.

Gigs natural symbiants- A. akindynos, bicinctus, clarkii, ocellaris, percula, perideraion, and rubrocinctus

yea bob loblaw i saw you bought one that was really similar. I had read they were really terrible shippers but mine closed up there mouths about 2 hours after they arrived. And yea I want to get something that matches up naturally so it will hopefully happen.

Hey nice nems! You should check out my site for some nice clowns. I'm gonna be posting some very very nice adult pairs in the next week (we are photoing them right now). I would imagine a larger clownfish would not have a problem with them :) I also have average size clownfish of every type. Shoot me a pm if there is something you want and don't see :D

I will look around your site. My only thing is that the anemones are close now and will they cause some fighting between the 2 since they are close.

with the carpets that close my guess would be one pair would dominate them both.

With that small of a tank I would get just one pair of clownfish.

Good to hear you can have Clowns host them, I always thought it was a no no.
