I just got my first two saltwater fish ever. Did a very long cycle in a quarantine tank before adding and they seem super happy and were eating on day 1. I noticed on one of them there are these silver circles. From what I’ve seen i don’t think it’s ich, just curious if anyone has seen this and if it’s just normal coloration.

Also they seem to be having occasional “vibration” fits…. I’ve read that’s them determining who is the male and female, anyone have any experience with that?

Thanks!

Not sure about the discs, but the jitters/vibrations are totally normal.

Sorting out hierarchy and a bit of harmless flirting. Mine did the exact same thing when we first got them. Enjoy them - they’re funny little beasties.

You can get them to eat from your hand if you’re patient and gentle.
