Welcome to R2R! Could you post your water parameters? Sometimes at this stage its easier to treat the issues rather than start over. I know its frustrating but the tank has to go through the tough times first, just part of the process unfortunately. Its sounding like possibly Phosphate is high, maybe nitrate as well. Snails will die if phosphate is too high. Could be a number of other things but i think its a good spot to start.

Welcome Brandon! Have you tested your water at all? I would recommend you get an ICP test done and/or buy a Hanna copper test kit. Something doesn’t sound right especially if you were properly cycled. is your equipment very old? Buying used gear is great to save but could also lead to devastating outcomes if a close eye isn’t kept on it.

Hello my name is Brandon. I started setting up my 37 gal tank in September. I had 2 clowns and a royal gramma. Few snails, a blue leg hermit , and a scarlet hermit..

I was having a very hard time keeping snails alive in the tank. Seemed like they would die instantly, when I would add them.

( possibly I wasn’t acclimating them long enough, when I get new snails I’m gonna try to do this longer)

a pair of clowns was my first fish purchase. About 2 weeks in the smaller of the pair died.

The other clown lived about 3 months before one night just started going crazy. Then the next day was dead.

My royal gramma just one day woke up dead as well.

Since then I haven’t had any fish. But I had a major red algae bloom and I’m currently mixing water to clean it throughly and basically start over.

Came to this forum to see some advice moving forward( starting over)
