New lights. UV channel flickered at first but now do not work at all... (also: gen 2 upgrade question)

I have a brand new v4gen2 and while setting it up I noticed the UV channel was flickering. Eventually it just turned completely off. I tried resetting the lights but they still do not turn on. Should I return/exchange or is there a simple fix?

Side question: I also have a pair of v4gen1 and would like to update them to gen 2. I'm not finding much info on this. Can someone point me in the right direction? thx

contact orphek directly they will assist you with the uv channel issue and the upgrade.
