Not new to reefing, i currently have a 180 gallon that has been running for 3 years now. Unfortunately i had to tear it down and restart recently due to a huge hair algae problem. That is what lead me here, I joined to obtain more knowledge on how to properly deal with these issues.

I feel your pain. I did the exact same thing 8 years ago. Tore down my 180 to solve a massive GHA problem. Hopefully things go better for you this time around. And welcome to the reef.
