New on this site and need help

We moved the tank with about 2 inches of water in the tank, and buckets of existing water with the rocks. The fish were transported in bags. We dumped 25% of water and we used tap water with conditioner and salt. This was all in the first day. Over the next week we purchase a couple fish and everything seem fine. Two weeks after, we did about 30% water change, within 2 days all fish had died.

Did the fish seem to kind of slowly get worse and die over the course of a few days or just suddenly all die overnight? Ime ammonia typically doesn't kill overnight and you kinda lose them one by one.

Sorry to read the fish died. Did you reuse the sand that was in the tank or new? Did you use a refractometer? I would advise you not use tap/conditioner. Mix your own saltwater or get it from the LFS.
