While what I was waiting for still hasn't come in, I did pickup a couple items today. Got some great pics after water change. One with regular schedule lighting and the other all blues violet and UV.

When ever something is going great, There is always something bad. Love finding one of my favorite fish looking like this in the morning. Guess it wanted out...looks like I need a top

How to bug out with a Pico reef. Super glue air hose and straws. Straws allow holes for air to escape and gas exchange while making it hard for any water to splash out.

So I bought this coral since I couldn't resist. I saw the brain when it was first was brought in and the beautiful colors it had. I slowly saw the color fade after a couple months. It is now getting it color back slowly and is progressing nicely. I was worried due to a few days after purchasing brown spots appeared. Turned out to be the algae and pigment returning. I also have sps coloring up and begin to extend polyps more as well.

Couple days after purchase.

Wow, can't believe I forgot about this thread or account. I am in the process of looking for a lid for this tank. might be getting some live stock I have been asking about for 5 or 6 plus years and don't want to risk jumping. But here is a few update pics of the wilsoni coral recovered and the tank. I did get rid of a coral or 2 but lost a few sps from a light setting that I didn't reset after taking pics. but everything is recovering. sorry for the dark pics. can't seem to get my camera settings correct.

What salt you use?
how often water changes?
What light you using?
Type of filtration?
I actually use the LFS salt which is the aqua forest reef salt.

I do whats equivalent to over 100 percent water change. This means I drain tank down to 25 to 20 percent, sometimes even 5 or 10. Then refill between 50 to 70 percent drain about another 30 to 40 then fill to top, syphon any debree I can that's left at bottom (5% roughly) and fill to top again. My tank is 5.4. water displacement is about 30 percent I believe. I still have a tad bit of water left. A few ounces sometimes when done. But I use about 4.8 gallons. This is done usually once a week but sometimes I'll do Twice a week. Once a month to every other I have been removing everything out into a 2.5g. cleaning the sides of glass and putting everything back in and filling with fresh salt water.

I use currently an AI prime HD with 3Dreefing diffuser.

The only filtration is the live rock. I have an MP10 in the tank for flow and that's it. No sump, no overflow no internal filter. I wanted this to simple tank.

With everything going on and events happening such as getting married purchasing and getting the new house ready to move in after, I completely forgot about this thread. I'll be doing some updates here soon.

My tank has been running now for over a year. It has been doing well and I am trying to fine tune the tank. There hasn't been much changes except a few corals. In the new home the tank will be getting a new stand with cabinet over top to mount light....well the plan anyways lol.

Time to clean the tank which I did last night.tgings have been busy I didn't have time to clean last week. Corals still happy.
