I have this hammer colony in my 65 gal redsea reefer 300xl. There is a small hammer head here that has withdrawn and what looks like polyp bailout. Not sure exactly why this one head has always been smaller within the colony. It normally opens but is less robust. Today it looks horrible. No other changes in the tank and everything seems fine.
This sick head is connected to a very healthy robust head to the top right, "gold with rose colored stem"
I have noticed there is a strange red thing hiding below the beighboring hammer. Please help id.
What should I do?
Dip?
Frag off the sickly piece?
Relocate?
Nothing?
Thanks in advance!
Salinity 34ppm
Temp 79
pH 7.98
Orp 299
Not sure about other water chemistry... shame!
