So I bought a new Quiet 1 Pro 4000 to replace my mag 7 that died on my 75g. I installed it today and it is flowing less than the mag 7 was. I checked to make sure the valve was open all the way and it is. I then took the pump out and put it in a bucket of water to see if it worked and it was pumping strong. I have about 3.5ft vertical and 1.5ft horizontal. 3 90 degree elbows and its all 3/4 PVC. I used a head loss calc and it should have about 550gph vs the 414gph from the mag 7. Am I missing something? :ooh:

I would try calling the company. Maybe you received a falty pump. Usually thats a pretty cut and dry application.

Did you put a flow meter on it to make sure its not making that gph?
