New Reef Build, IM40

Well we just went out and got our new tank for the apartment!. Finally decided on the IM 40 tank!.

Put in a order at BRS for the lights, planning on going with a couple Kessils, and than placed a order through MarineDepot, for rocks and sand. More pictures and updates along the way.

Stand is a custom made stand by Wifes brother. that he made a couple years back.

Lights: Kessils
Heater: Eheim Jager
Sand: 20lbs Hawaiian Black Arag Alive
Rock: 35lbs Dry Rock
Wave Maker: TBD
Protein Skimmer: TBD



Planned on Fish:
2-Clowns havent decided on kind yet
1-Coral Beauty Angel Fish
1-Six Line Wrasse

and a couple others that havent been picked out yet.


Planned Corals:
Torch Coral
Hammer Coral
Mushrooms
Zoas
Brain Corals
Mainly LPS dont really wanna go into the SPS

Its made of solid wood and 2x4's with a 1" thick butcher block top, A tank can jump on this thing and it dont move. Im not to worried about it. its about 10000x stronger than those crappy particle board stands that they sell

Sounds like your good to go. I couldn't tell how robust it was from the photo.

Finally got the tank up and in the cycling process now, just a waiting game.

20lbs Hawaiian black sand
35lbs dry rock

Thanks!. Wife's brother built it. Made with oak I believe and than the top is a 1.5" butcher block. Thing is a beast to move around.
