New reef keeper in South Australia!

Hi everyone!

I’m new to reef keeping after coming over from the freshwater hobby. I’ve always wanted to try saltwater and have two young kiddos who have been asking for a “nemo” for forever so when a friend wanted to move on his 200l freshwater set up I decided to give it a go!

Because I’m converting a freshwater set up I did (after much debate) decide to use a canister filter set up (which I know is controversial!) with a plan to one day transition to a sump. We’ve cycled the tank and about a week ago added our first two juvenile clownfish and a couple of inverts. Hoping for a mixed reef tank eventually

Can’t wait to learn from the wealth of experience in this group.

Welcome Jess. Do you live near the coast? I always watch videos of an Aussie guy that collects corals at low tide and its so cool!
