Like the title says I'm trying to decide on what skimmer to run on my 180 with 70+ gallon sump. I would like to run something internal that is quiet. Debating between:

Reef Octopus POV DC3

RLSS DB8

Royal Exclusive Vertex Alpha 200

Let me know what you think... Open to other ideas..

I have a similar thread going. Looks like the DC pump still have so issues with going out after a shot period of time.

Why are you selling your Alpha?

I am currently running two RLSS 12000's with no issues.. Super quite, nice controller with built in fan..

Friend of mine also is running RLSS 10000v2 and POV DC3 and nothing but good things to say.. Skimmer skims like a beast

You might also want to consider a Reef Dynamics INS 250, they are a very stable skimmer. The only skimmer you have listed that I would rate above it would be the Bubble King

INS250 Protein Skimmer
