I'm looking for a new skimmer that I can set up an not have to mess with for a long period of time so when I go out of town I don't need to have someone empty the container ect. I have a 70g mix reef fully stocked right now I have an aqua medic turbo that works good but after about 48 it gets dirty an doesn't work too well. Any suggestions?

I hear the SWC skimmers work well and are pretty much set-and-forget. Can't argue with the price range, either (at least on amazon.com...)

Bubble Magus I have a curve 9 on my 105. Works amazing.

I have not used a self cleaning head before, we gotta find someone who has, thats the only way your going to get away with not having to do it yourself once a week, with no matter what skimmer you get. They all will gunk up in a few days time, and need cleaned out at least once a week, in order to work properly.

asm- been one of the best for years.......

sca- great skimmer, almost identical to a bm curve with about 1/3 the price!!
