Lets say if i want the stand to be simple with 4 legs and no braces (As first image...) Can i simply go lagger diameter tubing? Exsample like 2.36x2.36 inch (6x6Cm)? But still 1/8inch (3mm) thick? Less matrial, and little bit less weight..

Yes, you could definitely do that with 6cm tubing.
