New Sump upgrade

Decided to keep the sump John from Advance Acrylics made for me last year :nerd: 40/20/20, 3 chambers. I'm doing the swap tomorrow so once this goes in I will be selling the 40 breeder (glass). If anyone is interested PM me. Reason for the upgrade is that I would like to also upgrade my skimmer from the ASM G4 to either the Aquamaxx EcoMaxx EM500 or the Aquamaxx ConeS CO-3 In-Sump Protein Skimmer. Would like to know your opinions on these 2 choices I have.

You know the old saying, if it's not broken don't fix it? The G4 is not broken what would be the advantage if I do upgrade?
