Thought I would throw this up here! I got a 20 gallon nuvo lagoon with heaters and pumps for 50 bucks on marketplace and had an extra prime laying around ( will likely be adding another light) so I figured why not start an anemone tank!

I added in live sand, lots of rock form my other tank and a good amount of new rock. Let it cycle for about 4-5 days with bacteria and the cycled rock. Then threw in 2 what I believe to be rose, 1 rainbow and 1 black widow that were all in the same tank. They are doing fantastic.

I grabbed a nexus anemone and joker anemone that are starting to settle in. They’ve only been in now 2-3 days I believe but are holding tight and looking good.

Very excited to see where this tank will go as I am just going to let the Nems go wild! I love the different colors and bubbles etc. See images below and let me know your thoughts!

Best strategy with an anemone tank is get 10 do you can enjoy the 4 that aren’t hiding.
😸
Isn’t that the truth haha. Luckily all of these so far are sticking front and center for the most part. We’ll see - these Nems always are interesting to me. I love this tank hah

I love the looks of your tank. It will be great.

I am in the middle of a new 75g build with a 20g sump. My rainbow bta has multiplied a lot in my current 56g display so I plan to relocate the nems to the sump.

Love the look of all the Nems. How long did it take for them to get up to 18?
That’s a good question, I put them in last year one at a time. Then over the last year I’d say I’ve ended up with a nem tank more than anything and didn’t entirely mean to have this many lol. These guys are super healthy so they are very well footed ans sticky. I’ve attempted to try and tickle their foots to sell them and these guys aren’t budging lol

I’ve accepted the fact I have a nem tank now, I have a bunch of other corals in there that get dwarfed by the nems lol

I had 8 nems at one time in my rs 170. Removed all the bubbletips and now have 2 long tentacle nems and a large 25+ head of hammer.
Pair of clowns, pair of sleeper gobies, flameback angel, and a file fish in 35g's.
