Looking good.

FWIW, nitrate might be lower than the kit reads. In many kits, a little nitrite can mean a false high nitrate reading.

Thank you! It turned purple right away but I read a post where if immediately turns purple it would turn green and off charts after 5 minutes but that didn't happen as you can see.

So no more bacteria or ammonia correct? What's next? I haven't cycled a tank in 10-12 years and that was with live rock [emoji23]

I'd watch till nitrite declines, although the nitrite is not that important.

Then if you want to be conservative, hit it with a second ammonia shot to be sure it declines quickly Then you are done. :)

Perfect, so maybe a 2ppm ammonia and see if zeros out in 10-12 hours? Then a 5-10% water change to reduce nitrate?

My daughter will be so happy to have some clowns haha. Told her hopefully before Christmas and looking good!

Appreciate the advice and help [emoji41]

Time for a water change, got 2 clowns on Saturday and one was acting funny today. Swimming at top, Dosed prime and all was well so far, nitrates seem high around 10 ppm.

Thinking 10% wc/4 gallons.

All seems well today, held off on the wc to keep bacteria going. Brown algae starting so need small cuc.

Fish seemed starving when I feed them, light feedings though to reduce waste. Surprised at the local petco stock where I get clowns vs lfs stock/health.
