New tank high kh

So I have returned to the hobby after 6 years. I have started a 180L soft coral tank with 1 clown and 1 blue tang. The tank has Been running empty for like a week and The fish+coral was added yesterday. Seems to run fine right now. I did som water tests (whit my old expired tests) i have 16kh 8.1ph and 0.12 amonia at 26celcius. Is this bad? No2 and no3 seems to be about 0

It's only soft corals so I wouldn't be too worried.

But I would look into getting new test kits. It seems the reagents were opened already so probably not too reliable.

If they were unopened test kits, I would be okay with them, but i would look into double confirming.

What salt are you using as well? Also, If the tank has only been running empty for one week, and you see Ammonia, it seems like your cycle is just starting. I would highly advise against having livestock in the tank while cycling.

Also that tank is WAY TOO SMALL for a Blue Tang. I suggest you take the fish back to the store, and start slow from the beginning and let the tank cycle.

I use aquarium systems reef corals. Most of my stone is from the aquarium i got the fish and the corals from. But yes the sand is only like a week cykeld. I cant return anything to a store since i bouth it on marketplace. The blue tang has been Living in a smaller tank for 8+years. But yes 47g aint optimal. I think my high kh is becous of my well water i use for mixing.

Well the fish is like 5.5 inches (guessing) and I would not say it has any problems swiming around. But I Will take your opinion in consideration, I have a lager tank 126g. Maybe start it up and use that one instead?

What salt are you using? Different salts have different KH amounts. Especially Instant Ocean. Theirs is high rated. I use Tropic Marin Pro Reef, it has low alk. You can search the KH on all.the different brands of salts.
