Hi, i have a question. I have Some White hair 'algea on my rockwork. I am currently dosing vodka to bring nitrate down. The tank is almost 2 month old and currently no inhabitants. I run with light off.

I am only adding vodka family and doing 10 % wc

My parameters are:
Ammonium 0.1
Nitrite 0.1 (this puzzles me as it was 0 a week ago)
Nitrate 25
Alk 8.3
Ph 8.2

Is whats growing just New tank syndrome or something to worry about?

It's normal in a new tank. You will see all sorts of things growing in that tank. I would not dose anything or try to remove anything with Vodka. Drink the Vodka and let the tank age . Enjoy all the things that normally happen and allow it to look lousy as that is part of it. As long as you don't try to short circuit every little thing, eventually it will settle down and be fine.

Most of the problems in this hobby are from people trying to fix normal things.
