It’s been 5 weeks since I started my tank but I have been running into a few issues
aiptasia and parameters. I’ve been doing 5 gallon water changes, slowed down eating and cleaning sand beds. I would appreciate some advice
It looks as though you are at an excellent time to rid your rock of aptasia. It doesn’t appear you have anything to feed in your tank , which can cause the population to grow or over feed causing it to explode. If you only see a couple you can spot treating using a product like F-aptasia or simply inject lemon juice or boiling water into their bodies through their mouths. If there are many and a lot of small ones you can introduce Berghia nudibranchs or aptasia eating peppermint shrimp ( careful, there are many sold as aptasia eating peppermint shrimp that look identical but don’t eat aptasia. ). If there are a lot with small ones that it would be impossible to inject I would go the peppermint shrimp route and not feed the tank the entire time they are in there so they are forced to eat the aptasia only.
