New tank upgrade setting up ideas

right now i have a 20 cube aio and im moving up to a tideline 62 aio, looking for advice to position the tank b4 putting water in
- first thought is i put my 20 too close to the wall and getting behind is such a pain, im planning on keeping it about 6-7 inches off the wall this time
-i am building a controller board for my electronics and hydros setup
- contemplating AWC but my runs are gonna have to be like 50 ft away into my garage
i have had a 75 with sump years ago so adding a sump later on is not on my radar, i will have 1 rear chamber dedicated to fudge, and right now i dont run a skimmer and would like to avoid it on the new tank if possible
- what are other factors to consider b4 filling the tank?

Unless your garage is insulated from the cold and you have heat tracing on water lines; let’s assume AWC is not on the radar.

If your present system maintenance is doing well, I see no reason to add a skimmer. So then, what is your present livestock situation and what vision do you have for your ecosystem.

Fill your tank with fresh waterand flow for 24 hour.

After 55 years of Reefing, I operate Caribbean lagoons as mixed gardens with heavy emphases on diversity of filter feeders especially ornamental sponges. For that purpose, I focus on the microbial loop which moves carbon up the food chain. With that said, use the extra compartment to increase diversity of zooplankton with reef rubble.

-so garage is insulated but not heated lets just saw 40~50 degrees, lines will run through crawlspace and heated basement b4 getting to tank
-i have always kinda done stack the rocks up and considering one of these "tree like" rock setups, i have a leopard wrasse so i have to keep substrate, def want some cool looking fish and inverts but would like them to be utilitarian, i have never really used sponges b4 but open to it, as far as corals, pretty much mixed everything, except no GSP no xenia, and i dont really like leathers
- thooughts on doing like 10 gallon water changes on current system and dumping old water in the new tank?
i do use cermic bio balls right now would reef rubble be better?

i have a diy one i made but its too big to fit under the stand i just ordered, id like to have the electronics under the center portion of the stand but mine is way to big, i either have to redo it or i guess just hang it on the side wall but i dont love that idea
