Depending on your water source that could be a root cause. The water from the tap and even the stuff at the grocery store can be full of God knows what. Even fish stores have been know to just use tap water when making their salt mixes

Oh, well I get distilled water in bottles from the grocery store

Stuff at the grocery is usually RO or DI not both

Better than tap water for sure. My tap at my house used my entire resin filter just for the water to fill my tank for the first time.

I’ll try to get one when I get the money. On a tight budget right now

So I have an extra tank and a bunch of extra things laying around in my closet to create another tank. I want it to be a hitchhiker/invert tank. I was just wondering something that I need some opinions on. I’m going to myrtle beach in a few weeks, and I was wondering if I caught some hermit crabs, or crabs, or snails, or clams and put them in a mature tank, would that be ok? I don’t know if this is allowed or not, so just tell me what you guys think.
