Hey everyone,

My name is Aaron. I am 17 years old. I may be young but I am fairly experienced. Right now I have 2 tanks set up and running. A 10 gallon and a 29 gallon biocube. I have a job at a local fish store as the coral system manager and I also am interning at Reefcleaners.org with John. You may have seen me at MACNA running his booth on Friday. I have been in the hobby a total of 7 years. 4 years saltwater experience and 7 years freshwater experience but kinda stopped doing that. I don't normally post too much on forums but I decided to try this one out after seeing it at MACNA. I'll probably be posting a lot in the coral area mainly in LPS since thats my best area. I want to go to college and get a degree in Biochemistry or related field and a minor in marine sciences. Hopefully ill own my own business in the aquaculture or mariculture area. That's a bit about me if you have any other things you'd like to know go ahead and ask. Thanks!!!

Aaron

Hey welcome to r2r!

Im also young and love me some lps...chalices!

Great to have you here Aaron! You probably seen me at the R2R booth at MACNA!

Wow! You have great ambitions! I hope you accomplish all your hearts desires, and hope that R2R can help! Welcome to the family! Looking forward to getting to know ya! :feel_good:

KLR - not so much into chalices. I think they are kinda bland and just look like rock besides a few colors. I love acans and mostly euphyllia. I don't have that much money so i don't do too much in the trendy stuff.

Rev- were you the one who dressed up in the costume or just worked the booth?

LOL! I just worked the booth.

Lol, i also like acans, just dont have much of a collection...yet, chalices are just my 1st coral i want 2 spend on, i like them so much because not very many corals look like melted wax that is a rainbow, and under leds they are just...wo, not saying acans are not, but i dont own many acans

Im ready to see some pics of your collection!

Ok i think i remember you. I met so many people there it was insane. Had a blast tho. I'm not the best when it comes to names and faces haha. I'll get better at it tho.

:snicker:

KLR - I understand what you are saying. And to each is there own. I do like some chalices. I am just not ready to spend that much cash on them. I don't have many photos nor any good ones. I never did get into any photography. Ill see what I can do tomorrow to get some fresh photos of my tanks for you guys tho. I usually have common stuff more because of pricing than anything. Its the curse of being an adolescent and not having lots of money haha. But I think my tanks still look amazing.

Aaron

Well i can't promise anything on good quality pictures. I kinda suck at photos ,but you'll at least get the idea of how the tank looks.

These are some pictures they are kinda old. Like by 8 months or so but you get the idea. There has been some more growth and all. Especially in the 10 gallon the rocks are almost completely covered in zoas and i got a few more corals. Ill get updated pictures tomorrow

Those really look cool, it makes me want to set up a small tank for zoas, kepp up the good work:wink:

Thanks. I have to say I love my 29 gallon because thats where i started but i really have enjoyed the 10 gallon and how it looks much better. I guess its because I'm wiser and more skilled at reefing. I have enjoyed both tanks tremendously. Sadly pretty soon both will have to be broken down as I am going to college and parents will be moving away. I will however be setting up a traveling 5.5g that will have frags from both systems so they will live on through the new 5.5g.
