New to Reefing and Seeking Advice

Hi there. I grew up with freshwater tanks but always wanted to do saltwater. Finally decided to go for it!

My setup is a 15 gallon IM Fusion with Life Rock, Fiji Pink Sand, Tropic Marin salt, AI Coral Grow Blade.

The two small clowns won’t leave their corner. I also have some Cerith and Trochus snails along with a Scarlett Hermit.

I had some diatoms and never saw green hair algae but I’m left with this green encrusted algae all over my rocks, some large bits of sand, and snail and hermit shells.

We are now at three months. I want to add a Randall pistol shrimp and Yasha Goby but will need to add more sand. Also would want to move the corals out of the sand bed.

Any recommendations on this or anything else?

Hi, thats a nice start.
Clowns find a spot they like and thats where they stay, thats normal.
The green on the rocks is normal, its part of the maturing of the system, it will change colors later as it matures.
I think you have enough sand for the shrimp , but yes get the frags off the sand first.
Good luck, just let the system keep maturing.

Keep on chuggin along. Looks good so far. You will go through more stages of ugly soon especially starting with dry rock.
