Thank you going to order one in about a week so it will get here closer to the end of the cycle.
Not sure what skimmer yet. And I got the shades and diffusers from 3D Reefing you can get them on Amazon for about $30

Thank you I had to drive 2.5 hours to get the live rock for the small tank and really wanted to aquascape this one myself.

Should I try to clamp both AI Prime HD16s in the overflow box or keep them in the center of each bay?

I think move them both closer to the middle; you’ll get a lot more useable light into the tank and less spilling past the sides.

One in the center is fine especially as close to the surface as you have them. You may want to rent a light meter. That will burn up sps at 100% being that close. You are best off to use one, raise it 6" and use a light meter to set the wattage.

Nice tank, just keep in mind by doing so, it'll create a hot spot in the middle of the tank. I guess it goes to what you're planning to keep. looking great so far!

Just get the Bluetooth Apogee for a couple hundred and check it every 6 months or so. That seneye is a toy. Go to the AI Prime Facebook group and download the Pennywise Deadlights Pop program and run it once you are cycled. Play around with the app in the meantime. A real light meter allows you to do this. The Pennywise program is awesome and the last couple hours are blue for the pop. That group has been around for a long time and they have thousands of people that try out their programs over the years. This is the latest and greatest program. You will see comparisons in the group. AIs are freaking awesome. I can't believe someone coughs up $900 when they can get a Hydra 52 HD for less than $200. The sooner you understand this hobby is full of hypemen and the concept of less is more the better off you will be. Your corals may actually live too.

Sell the diffusers as well. Remember... less is more and everyone is trying to sell you something...

You were incorrect I used the apogee MQ-510 if I did what you told me on the dead lights preset everything would be starved for light

Only reading 25 in the sand and barely 50 on the highest point of my rock work

You where right about those shades though they drop the par significantly

You are taking steps to ensure that your parameters are known. The more unknown parameters the more trouble. Cheers to successful reefing my friend. Do yourself a favor and never bottom out your phosphates! If you ever run gfo or nopox, start at 25% recommended and bump up 25% every 4-8 weeks to dial it in.
