Some of my zoas are sprouting new (small) heads, but they lack the colour of the larger original ones in the colony. They are mostly brown. Is this normal (and they will colour up as they grow) or a problem?

Got pics? Depending on the type of zoa, they usually come in brighter. Rastas for example, new heads were glowing even though the larger polyps were already bright. Could depend on your lighting/spectrum as well or the health of the colony.

Thanks. Here is a pic of the utter chaos that is doing this (sorry for the blue). I circled the new ones. I’m getting the same issue on another zoa which I forget the name (blue hornet?)
