A little while longer for some coral, will for sure be ready by frag swap time (if I can wait that long)!

Thanks Chris
As far as fish, I'm not sure. need fairly small fish that don't jump (about 4 total) so I am open to suggestions. I plan on going mostly sps.

If any of you need/want help with that mesh DIY, I have done a lot of it and have the tools. Tools are cheap but if you are only going to do it once and don't want to spend the 10-15 bucks for the roller, miter box, and small hack saw I can bring with or meet up and help you do it. As Dowtfish stated, it is super simple..just remember measure twice, cut once and you'll be fine :)
I just put up the new JBJ 30 cube last week and am going to replace an Oceanic 29 I have with it. Will house my extra large blue carpet Anem and mated pair of maroon clowns that host it. The sand just settled and I have started baking the tank and rock.

I will take you up on that Andy. Is is easy to cut around the light on my setup?
Well, not really. At least not with materials readily available locally. I donut know of any screen frame materially that you can really curve, but why cut around the light base and overflow? I would just lay it right on top.

If you did want to cut around the light base then you would be introducing a larger gap because the frame ends add 3/4" each. So unless you really want that, I would suggest avoiding it.

Looking back to your reefing roots: Did you start with Instant Ocean salt?
