Have a pair of chromis and pajama cardinals that have turned really aggressive. the chromis spawned on the middle of the back glass and the cardinal has a bunch of things in its mouth and freaked me out when trying to figure out what was going on with it. System is 90 gals but its just not big enough it seems, how long will there mating take and should I just go ahead and remove them?

If they're like Banggais the male will hold the eggs while they develop and hatch for ~30 days and the female will become more territorial and defend the male.
Most cardinals have pelagic larvae and the time the male carries the eggs is substantially shorter. Banggai babies actually hatch with a huge yolk sack a good while before the male ultimately releases them. I think it is about a third of the time the male holds them.

Not much you are going to be able to do if both pairs spawned at same time outside of separation, I think.
