I started this tank in the beginning of December 2017 after being out of the hobby for about six months. I've been living in a second floor apartment and my landlord said NO WAY! I am now renting the apartment below me also so this means....reef tank! My tank is a deep blue rr50g with a 30 long sump I built for my last tank.
Equipment is pretty basic.

Dct-4000 return
Reef octopus 150int skimmer
Mp10/40 in my display
As far as lights I'm running two led black boxes on a simple digital timer.

My animal list

Orchid dottyback
Yellow assessor
Linespot flasher wrasse
Starry blenny
Wheeler's goby
Strawberry crab and various other snails and crabs.

Well let's get to some pictures!

Paracheilinus lineopunctatus

Looks great. What are your plans for finishing the stand? Are you planning to wrap it? Since you have a pretty decent edge around the tank I would put some time around it. I know a couple of stands have it and I’ve always liked it. Maybe also put something to hide the pipes. You could do a piece of acrylic with magnets attached to the outside of the tank or maybe some reef artwork. Maybe a sand dollar, dried star fish in frames.
I’ll try and find some examples for you.
Keep up the good work

Thanks! I've been thinking either some pine barn board to go with the wall behind the tank or some nice plywood with a cherry or maple top.

Everything seems to be doing well. I got a free sps of some sort from aqua sd. Hopefully it colors up!
