Nighttime larvae critter ID please.

Looks shaped like munid isopods, but those dudes are crawling on the glass and rock types rather than swimming through the water types.

I have one that swims but will gather towards the light - they are kind of red and makes me not want to look at the tank at night lol

Interesting

I found a similar vid; especially if correct

Several years ago I got up in the middle of the night to look at Acropora PE. You haven't lived until you witness a huge swarming school of Epitoke in your aquarium.
😬

Definitely gave myself the jeebies with all the clips I watched up to that one. The longer worms (or maybe zoomed in) really got me.

I’d just go right back to bed and try to forget I ever saw it.

Found these darting around at feeding today

Any ideas?
Rock is @LiverockRocks
Tank is over 1 year

I could be wrong, but I think I see some tails on these, so my first thought would be either mysid shrimp or crustacean larvae.

Great. Captive-bred bristleworms. Just what the hobby needs! 😆
100% agree! I <3 bristle worms! I've been aquaculturing some dorvilleidae worms if any one wants them. These are the little cute baby worms that don't get huge like those other scary bristle worms. Only $99.99 each or you can also purchase individual eggs for $9.99 each. I also have some very rare anemones and macro algaes fragged up and ready to ship if you are interested! $499.99 per nem and $29.99 per bubble.(Disclaimer: This is obviously satire and I'm not really selling, please don't ban me)

To OP, those don't seem to be swimming like the epitokes I'm familiar with seeing. If you can scoop some out and get some better pics and videos of them in a small container that would be helpful. Also, I agree these look like free fish food to me.

Are you really selling bubble algae, bristle worms, and aptasia? Unique!
I’m not into capturing and studying them at this time. But I’ll repost if I can.
Thanks
