Yeah. I remember when my dad had the shutter on his D2X replaced and it was about $400.

Im pretty sure i read it was 100,000. Hmm...ill have to check where i saw that.

it certainly doesn't mean its going to stop working when it hits that number though.

I did some reading and it seems that Nikon conservatively says 100,000 but many are well over 300,00 and still going. But then again, some died after single digits too.
