It's been a bit over 2 months. I am well aware of the cycle debates and all. I have 2 Clowns only in a 42g 200xl. Started with live sand and dry rock. Some marsh mud fresh. I'd say the cycle was quick of any at all really. Here we are at what I believe to be the beginning of the ugly phase. Since day 3 I've shown approx 2ppm via red sea of nitrates. Untill today specifically. I tested 2 times at 0. I have a baby torch and a few Zoa frags that look fine and dandy. So I'm not worried per say.I do however want to understand. I've not had much in the way of diatoms that I know of. Very little bit of brown. Some dark green spots however (Coraline I believe as I seeded with the stuff from algae barn.) Then the red slime. Cyano? it has air bubbles. It's slimy and Matty I vacuumed some but it really hasn't gotten out of control. What all of a sudden sucked the nitrates out of the tank and should I be concerned about any of this? I assume let ot ride and balance will come. I test every other day as I am dosing A4R.
