Has anyone had the problem of the whole tank having a mucus like substance on the rock, corals, filter? With a softie tank, my nitrates and phosphates were 0 for over a month. After dosing for nearly 2 weeks. I decided to turn off the intank skimmer and up the dosage and then boom! I got cloudy water at first then it turned greenish and couldn't see anything in the tank and it was covered in slime.

Today I did a 50% water change and cleaned the filter media which was just covered in this mucus like goop, cleaned the glass and rocks as much as I could, the powerheads and the sandbed too.

Its probably hard to see right now after the cleaning but some of the slime is attached to rock and corals. Boy was that a lotta goop! Any help would be great.

Likely a bloom.
cease dosing and add carbon or chemipure blue which will clarify water
Test water to assure ammonia has not climbed
Salinity. 1,025 @ 77-79 degrees

Thanks, would a carbon filter affect the NO3PO4 in the tank as those were close to 0 previously and my softies were just shrivelling up.
