Has anyone experimented with running skimmer-less in order to raise NO3 and PO4 to desirable levels? My levels for both are undetectable currently.

That is one thing often recommended on here. I tried it, and it was not doing it on it's own. I had to start dosing. And I had PH issues when I stop running my skimmer.

OR you can alway start to feed your fish a bit more. I'm sure they would appreciate it while raising both nitrates and phospates.

I was thinking about running the skimmer without the collection cup, so it still gets O2 in the water assuming that is what caused the PH problems.

That and feed a bit more. One will help the Ph esp. if you run outside air and the other nice fat fish.
