If a tube does not have a mucus net coming out of it, does that mean it is not a Vermetid snail? When is the best time to see the web? When Feeding I assume. Does time of day matter?

Thanks!

it could be a old/dead tube, feather duster, etc. can you share a picture of it? You would usually see the mucus web during feeding time if it was an active vermetid
It’s not in an easy to photograph area. Any attempts are a blurry mess
