No skimmer

Thinking of using 2 marineland bio wheel filters and removing the hob skimmer which doesn't seem to do much I have one bio wheel and thought maybe two would be perfect. It's on a 46gal bow front

Is it a reef tank? You should use a skimmer and no bio wheel. Biofilter is the live rock. Biowheels will just be a Nitrate trap.
