Nodules on leather coral?

Hi everyone. Today I noticed these nodules on my leather. There’s probably five total, all in different spots on the “branches.” Any idea what these are? Coral looks normal and happy otherwise.

Unfortunately I don’t have control of the lights. My LFS owner and friend set up these lights a while back for me and it’s still on his log in and not mine. I haven’t needed to mess with them yet since he services the tank for us, so just haven’t had them switched over so I can control them yet.

The more I look at it, It actually looks like it’s the tips of the edges turning grey. Any ideas?

It's very common for Sacrophyton to self propagate. With that said I am not entirely sure that's a Sacrophyton based on the image. If I were you I would Google leather corals reproduction and or propagation.
