I had a biocube in college, decades ago. Decided to get back into the hobby earlier this year. Found a 32G biocube on Marketplace and took the plunge. Man have things changed and man how they've stayed the same.
I should have posted progress along the way but I started with cleaning this up and using dead "live" rock for the build. Had fun with algae, dinos, bad testing equipment, slowed fishless cycle due to user error, and ultimately success!
I started this tank in February 2026 and fast had to get it mostly stable by June. That was when I would be away for a minimum of a week at a time. I set up ato, timed lighting, and doser for various items depending on the stage of progress. So far, nothing but success!
I hope to backfill the thread with how I got to now and to share the journey as we progress through the year and beyond.
