Years ago, I performed a procedure that examined growth rates under different LED spectra (the old BuildMyLED strip lights). I've wanted to repeat this procedure ever since using a different coral genus - the first examined were Porites, this time Montipora. The following have contributed to this effort:
The gang at Reef Shac in Marietta, GA (Shac Dupree, Chris, Thomas, and Sara)
Noopysche Lighting
Claude Schuhmacher at Fauna Marin
Phil Gilbert at Polyp Lab
Roger Vitko at Tunze USA

Oh, forgot to mention Neptune Systems as a contributor, as well as Bulk Reef Supply. I'm pretty sure I got on someone's naught list. LOL. This experiment will take some time, but once the procedure is up and running growths, will be measured (by weight increase on an analytical balance) for a period of about 60 days.

Looking forward to seeing this. I live near Sustainable Aquatics in Jefferson City, TN. They have a small local store called The Coral Reef. They run the second version of the Noops and I am amazed at what they grow and how their tanks look under them.

They also have some black boxes and all those corals look kind of bad. The Noopsyche tanks look amazing. I am also surprised that they grow some plating SPS, Montis, etc. under these and they do very well.
