Nori for tangs

Gosh, I just take a sheet, fold it a few times, and put it into the clip. Fish don't seem to care.

I originally did this and what would happen is that they'd pull out that entire small sheet and it would now float around with no one eating it. The skinny strips are bite size and if pulled out, they now swim to eat and eat it.

I always had problems with the grazer rings. There would always be a ton left over at the end of the day

My fish are pigs - large ring lasts about 2 hours. As opposed to a 4x8 sheet of nori that is gone in less than 5 minutes. Oink oink!

I have two tangs two triggers, two angels, and a clown. They all eat nori except the clown.

My fish are pigs too, so I'm not particular how I present it. I usually just rip the top off of all off the sheets together. This creates a bunch of long strips. Then I just hold it with my hand while the pigs eat it. They usually just yank it out of my hand and fight over it.

My Picasso trigger usually takes more than he can handle and then goes straight to the overflow and spits it in. If he can't have it, nobody gets it. I usually just push him with my finger on top of the head to keep him from doing it.

My fish much prefer the store bought nori intended for human consumption over the pet store bought sheets sold as fish food. If I clip them side by side in my tank, the fish will devour the one and leave the other alone. Even after the one is gone, fish will be trying to get at the small chunk in the clip while the other melts away in my tank.

Some nori is smoked and should be avoided, or, some is smoky than others (as I think it's all smoked to some extent).

How many tangs/ nori eaters do you have?

Were you asking me? Five Tangs are the main nori consumers, though three butterfly's, two dwarf angels and some of my wrasses get in on the action as well.

I have a question regarding Nori. I hear a lot of people say to tie some to a rock so they can graze during the day. By keeping this in there all day, doesn't add to the waste, making the phosphates and nitrates climb?
