Normal fire fish behavior?

I’m currently raising my salinity in my 20 gallon from 29 ppt to 35 ppt just topping off with salt water 35 ppt, I’ve noticed my firefish hasn’t ate for the last two days and has been in the same spot for the last two days, but all my other fish are doing good, it was also found in the back of my lfs sump so I’m wondering if it could be old age, he is pretty big. This was him a couple days ago and I’ve attached a YouTube video of him now.

Livestock list:

4 margarita, 4 Nassarius, 4 Astrea, 2 Trochus
1 black clown, 1 black storm clown, bangai cardinal, 1 gsp coral, 1 montipora frag, 1 yasha goby, 1 firefish goby, 1 rbta, 1 candy cane kryptonite, 1 war coral, variety of zoas, 2 peppermints, 1 toadstool.

Tank parameters:
Tank is 3 months old, 10lbs of live rock
Salinity is at: 32 ppt raised from 1021 SG over the course of 3 days.
Alkalinity: is 9.4
Ammonia: 0
Nitrite: 0
Nitrate: 20-30 API, water change today 20 percent.




He’s also moved to this other rock crevice which is different from the video while I was typing this up.

to be honest its a lot of fish for a 20 gallon, and the rockwork doesn't really provide any cover or hiding spots for this type of timid fish. I suspect either stress from lack of hiding space or else intimidation or bullying from other fish. but it could be the change in salinity IDK

That’s along the lines of what I was thinking to0, I have also added more rocks since the photo taken, I’m thinking about upgrading to a 30 gallon lagoon in the future but I thought since most of the fish in here are juveniles I would be able to get away with it for a little bit maybe not.

Also how long do you think I could get away with having them in a 20gallon for the clowns are juveniles same with the bangai and yasha pretty much everything but the firefish I was planning to do a 75g upgrade soon, or get a 150g pred tank.

I count 5 fish which would be a limit and a 40 Breeder plan on 8 fish allowing for growth of fish and coral. Additionally as you raise specific gravity, fish should resume eating but assure its not being intimidated by another tank mate and sufficient hiding spots which they need is provided

So 5 fish is the limit for 20 gallons or am I in the overstocked territory? I’ve been watching for the last hour and no signs of aggression from anyone, my yasha goby likes to hide in the other arch and the firefish, has 3 places which he likes to hide, if I did upgrade to a 40 gallon breeder what fish would you recommend to add or keep the same inhabitants?
